The Board of Directors of City Bank PLC has elected Hossain Khaled as the new Chairman of the bank. The decision was taken at a board meeting held on Sunday (July 27, 2025).
Hossain Khaled is a Sponsor Director of City Bank and has served as Vice Chairman for seven consecutive years. He is currently a member of the bank’s Executive Committee and Risk Management Committee. He is also the Chairman of two important subsidiaries of the bank — City Brokerage Limited and City Hong Kong Limited.
Hossain Khaled has made significant contributions to the country’s business community in addition to the banking sector. He served as the President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) for four terms. He was also the Co-Chairman of the Bangladesh Better Business Forum and the Founding President of the Bangladesh Chapter of the Intrapreneurs Organization (EO), an international organization of entrepreneurs.
