Chief of the three services meets the Chief Advisor, discusses election preparations

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has given necessary instructions to the chiefs of the three services to make all kinds of preparations to ensure flawless security in the 13th National Parliament elections to be held in the first half of February and to hold the elections peacefully.

On Saturday (November 1, 2025) at 7 pm, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, and Air Chief Marshal Hassan Mahmud Khan met the chief advisor at the State Guest House Jamuna.

National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman was present at the meeting.

In the meeting, the chief advisor praised the hard work of the military members in maintaining national security as well as law and order in the country.

He said that in the last 15 months, members of all forces, including the army, have worked very hard to maintain law and order in the country. The Chief Advisor has also given necessary instructions to the three services to ensure that the upcoming elections are covered with a flawless security blanket.

The Chief Advisor said, “The interim government is committed to making the elections to be held in the first half of February free, fair, impartial, peaceful and festive.”

In today’s meeting, the chiefs of the three services informed the chief advisor about all kinds of preparations made by the military for the elections.

90,000 army personnel, more than 2,500 navy personnel and 1,500 air force personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order around the elections.

One company of army personnel will be deployed in each upazila.

In the meeting, the chiefs of the three services invited the chief advisor to organize the Armed Forces Day on November 21.
