Chief Advisor pays tribute at National Memorial on the occasion of the great Independence and National Day

Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar on Wednesday (March 26, 2025) morning on the occasion of the 55th Independence and National Day.

He placed a wreath at the altar of the memorial at 6:11 am.

At this time, he observed a few minutes of silence to pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the great Liberation War of 1971.

A smart contingent of the Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force gave him the state salute. A mournful tune was played on the bugle at this time.

The Chief Justice, advisors to the interim government, heads of the three services, freedom fighters, foreign diplomats and high-ranking military and civilian officials were present during the tribute.

After paying homage, the Chief Advisor left the memorial premises.

The National Memorial was then opened for people from all walks of life to pay their respects.
