Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, wishing peace, welfare and prosperity to all, including Christians, has urged everyone to come forward for the development of the country by being inspired by the great vow of humanity.
In a message given on the occasion of Christmas, he extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all of the Christian community on the occasion of the biggest religious festival of the Christian community, ‘Christmas’.
On this occasion, the Chief Advisor also exchanged greetings with representatives of the Christian community at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka on Tuesday.
In his Christmas message, the Chief Advisor said that Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity, was born in Bethlehem on this day. One of the vows of Jesus Christ was to introduce an exploitation-free social system by establishing justice and peace in the world. The great Jesus dedicated himself to the endangered and hungry people. He is immortalized in human history for his life and strong character traits.
Referring to Bangladesh as a country of communal harmony, he said, ‘For thousands of years, people of all religions have been living together in this country, regardless of race, religion, or caste. Here, people of all religions and communities have complete freedom to practice their own religion.’
The Chief Advisor expressed hope that Baradin would further strengthen the existing harmony and harmony between Christians and other communities in the country.
Professor Muhammad Yunus said that the interim government formed through the mass uprising of students, workers, and the public is committed to building a non-discriminatory social system.

Adhikari, President of the Bangladesh Christian Association, Nirmal Rosario, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Christian Association, Iglesias Hemant Koraiya, and President of the Bangladesh Christian Alliance, Daniel Nirmal D’Costa, delivered greeting speeches.
The religious leaders expressed hope that generosity and communal harmony will develop in Bangladesh under the leadership of the Chief Advisor and assured maximum cooperation from the Christian community.
The interim government has donated 25 million taka to the Christian Religious Welfare Trust on the occasion of Christmas. The Christian religious leaders specially thanked the government for this. They said that the donation was distributed to churches across the country. On the occasion of Christmas, the leaders presented the Chief Advisor with a Bible.
Wishing a happy Christmas, the Chief Advisor said, “I am very happy to meet you today. We want religious unity. We do not want the words minority and majority. In this country, we are all one family, we will all live together – this is our dream. Everyone has to come forward to realize this dream.”
He said, “We are the same people. Our identity comes first, then religion. Every religion has a message of peace. We have to instill that message of peace in ourselves. Only then will the differences be removed. If the message of peace of our own religion is instilled in our minds, you will find it in other religions as well. Then there will be no more differences with other religions. Our children will have a beautiful childhood.”
Also present at the greetings exchange ceremony were Law Advisor Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul, Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan and Environment, Forest and Climate Change Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
