Chief Adviser orders sending Nurul Haque Noor abroad for better treatment

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has ordered the sending of Nurul Haque Noor, President of the People’s Rights Council and one of the politicians of the July Mass Uprising, abroad for better treatment.

Nurul Haque Noor’s wife Maria Akhter, General Secretary of the People’s Rights Council Rashed Khan and Senior Joint General Secretary Hasan Al Mamun met the Chief Advisor at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday (September 2, 2025).

Maria Akhter broke down in tears while talking about Nurul Haque’s physical condition. She said that Noor has suffered a brain hemorrhage, a broken nose, and injuries to his jaw and spine.

His wife Maria Akhter said that Noor needs to be taken abroad for better treatment.

At this time, the chief advisor ordered the health ministry to immediately send Noor abroad for proper treatment.

He said, “We are all shocked by this incident. We have taken all kinds of measures for his proper treatment. A judicial investigation is underway in this incident.”

Legal advisor Asif Nazrul, environmental advisor Rizwana Hasan and housing and public works advisor Adilur Rahman Khan were present at the time.

Legal advisor Asif Nazrul said that a one-member committee led by Justice Ali Reza is being formed to investigate the attack. The gazette in this regard will be published by tomorrow. The investigation committee will complete its investigation within 15 days.
