Canadian High Commissioner meets Jamaat Ameer

On Tuesday (June 23, 2025), Mr. Ajit Shing, High Commissioner of the High Commission of Canada in Dhaka, held a courtesy call on Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere. Important issues related to the interests of Bangladesh and Canada were discussed in the meeting. Senior Political Officer Ms. Siobhan Kerr and Political and Economic Advisor Mr. Nisar Ahmed were present along with the Honorable High Commissioner.

Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was accompanied by Nayebe Ameer former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Secretary General former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and Adv. Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department Ed. Matiur Rahman Akand, Central Executive Council Member and Ameer of Dhaka Metropolitan South Mr. Nurul Islam Bulbul and Foreign Affairs Advisor to Ameer-e-Jamaat Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present.
