Canadian High Commission meets City Group to expand Canada-Bangladesh trade

Jean-Christian Brillant, the Canadian High Commission official in Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on City Group officials. City Group is the first company in Bangladesh to import Canadian wheat and has been purchasing Canadian canola and pulses for a long time.

City Group, which employs more than 25,000 people, exports products to various countries including Asia and Canada. The meeting discussed creating new commercial opportunities in the agri-food sector between Canada and Bangladesh.

The High Commission said that they will work with leaders of the dynamic private sector in Bangladesh to expand Canada-Bangladesh trade in the agri-food sector.
