Today, Sunday (April 13, 2025), Md. Shajibul-Al-Rajib, Editor of “Business in Bangladesh” and “Weekly Dhaka Media”, paid a courtesy visit and held an important meeting with His Excellency Haji Haris bin Osman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh, at the Brunei High Commission in Dhaka.

Mr. Rozaimi Abdullah, First Secretary of the Brunei High Commission, was also present at the meeting. At the beginning of the discussion, Md. Shajibul-Al-Rajib presented all published issues of Business in Bangladesh to the High Commissioner as a token of appreciation. He also wrote a goodwill message in the High Commission’s visitors’ book. In return, His Excellency presented a book on Brunei as a souvenir to the editor on behalf of Brunei Darussalam.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Brunei, exploring opportunities in the tourism sector, simplifying visa procedures, establishing direct air connectivity, organizing joint seminars, and strengthening B2B engagements. Emphasis was also placed on increasing the participation of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in international fairs and events held in Brunei.

A key point of discussion was the potential collaboration in empowering young entrepreneurs. Both parties exchanged views on how real-life exposure to business operations in Brunei could provide young Bangladeshi entrepreneurs with valuable insights into international business practices.

They also discussed promoting tourism and undertaking joint promotional initiatives between the two countries.

His Excellency Haji Haris bin Osman listened attentively to all topics discussed and extended his sincere thanks to Md. Shajibul-Al-Rajib for his thoughtful suggestions and initiatives.
