BNP’s victory is inevitable, attempts to sabotage will not succeed: Mahdi Amin

Mahdi Amin, spokesperson of the National Assembly Election Steering Committee and advisor to the BNP chairman, said that BNP’s victory in the 13th National Assembly election is inevitable and absolute. The party firmly believes that no attempt to sabotage this victory will succeed.

Voting for the 13th National Assembly election was held from 7:30 am on Thursday (February 12) throughout the day. He made these remarks at a press conference organized at the BNP Election Steering Committee office in Gulshan, the capital, after voting ended at 4:30 pm.

In this formal briefing by BNP after voting in the parliamentary election and referendum, Mahdi Amin thanked and wished the government, law enforcement agencies and all those involved in the election. He expressed deep condolences on behalf of BNP to the families of those who were injured in violence at various election sites and those who lost their lives due to various reasons.

At the time, he said, the most important thing now is to complete the vote counting process in a fair and transparent manner. He called on the concerned authorities to discharge their duties with impartiality and caution.

Addressing BNP leaders, activists and supporters, Mahdi Amin said, “No one should leave the polling station before the results of the vote are confirmed.” He also called on everyone to maintain patience and discipline.
