BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman said that if the BNP gets the responsibility of running the country in the future, it will create another department for July fighters within the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
He said these things at a view-exchange meeting organized at the Krishibid Institute in the capital on Sunday (January 18) morning.
He said that a separate department will be created for the welfare of the families of July fighters and to take care of them. We have decided that, God willing, with the support of the people of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party will be able to form a government in the coming days.
So that we can solve the problems of the families of the martyrs and the July fighters to some extent.
Tarique Rahman said that when BNP was in charge of running the country before, a ministry called the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs was created. In short, this ministry looks after the welfare and care of the families of those who were martyred and injured in the Liberation War in 1971. We have decided that, Insha Allah, with the support of the people of Bangladesh, if the Bangladesh Nationalist Party is able to form a government in the future, it will work for the care and welfare of the families of the martyrs of July 2024 and those who are injured.
He also said, we have heard about the indescribable suffering of the relatives of the victims or the injured in the independence movement of the country and the people in 2024 at this event today. It is not possible to alleviate their suffering with anything. Because I also know how much pain it is to lose a relative. Nothing can alleviate the suffering. However, we can try to compensate the injured in the mass uprising in two ways. One, by ensuring their highest medical treatment through state initiatives.
Two, these brave people came to the streets to implement the objectives of the state and society. To ensure the political rights of their people, economic rights according to their qualifications, regardless of party affiliation.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a meeting to exchange views with the families of the martyrs and the seriously injured in the mass uprising 2024. The meeting was chaired by BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan. The party’s Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was present as a special guest.
