BNP Secretary General meets Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister

A meeting was held between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and a delegation led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

In the meeting held in a cordial atmosphere, Ishaq Dar expressed his determination to further strengthen Pakistan-Bangladesh bilateral relations. He said that the relations between the two countries will progress on the basis of mutual respect and mutual interests.

Regional cooperation emerged as an important issue in the discussion. The meeting recalled the fundamental and primary role of Bangladesh in the establishment of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). At the same time, various high-level meetings and contacts between the two countries in the past were also discussed.
