BNP has a historic role in restoring democracy: Dr. M A Quayum

Dr. M A Quayum, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate for Dhaka-11 constituency, said that BNP has always been a party of the people and will remain so in the future. BNP has a historic role in restoring democracy in the country.

He said that the mass tide that has been created in favor of the paddy sheaf, InshaAllah, will turn into victory on February 12. After a long time, people have regained their voting rights, but a special group is again involved in a conspiracy to take away that right.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a program organized on the occasion of joining BNP from various political parties in the Bhatara-Baridhara area of ​​the capital on Friday (February 6, 2026).

Dr. M A Quayum said that after 17 long years, the people of the country are dreaming of a free, fair and acceptable election. Various attempts are being made to waste this opportunity. He urged everyone to be aware and united in this regard.

He also said that although the dictatorship has fallen, their allies are still hiding in the cracks and crevices of society. Therefore, everyone must be vigilant in protecting democracy and voting rights and no concessions can be made.

Highlighting the development plan for Dhaka-11 constituency, the BNP candidate said that this constituency will be turned into an ideal area with the participation of people from all walks of life. Where there will be no drugs, terrorism, extortion or encroachment. People’s safety and peace will be our main priority.

Local BNP and affiliated organizations leaders and activists were present at the event.
