BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s Northern District Tour Postponed

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman’s Northern District Tour has been postponed at the request of the Election Commission. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir gave this information at a press briefing after the party’s standing committee meeting on Friday (January 9) night.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “It was decided that Tarique Rahman would visit some districts of the northern region of the country from January 11 to pay homage to Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani and Shaheed Abu Sayeed and other martyrs and to fulfill some family duties. But in this regard, the BNP Chairman’s tour has been postponed at the request of the Election Commission.”
