“Bijaya Sammilani 2025” was held on Friday (October 17, 2025) at 4 pm at the premises of Kabirpur Sarbajanin Durga Mandir in Shailkupa Upazila of Jhenaidah. Organized with the aim of strengthening religious harmony, cultural unity and social bonds, people from different classes and professions including the local Hindu community participated in this program.
Honorable Attorney General Mr. Advocate Md. Asaduzzaman was present as the chief guest at the program. Prominent industrialist and social worker Babu Prabir Kumar Saha and Shailkupa Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Smt. Snigdha Das were the special guests.
Honorable Attorney General Mr. Advocate Md. Asaduzzaman said, “This Shailkupa is very dear to me, no kind of filth, hooliganism, injustice will be allowed here, we have ensured that just as people have become vengeful against all torture and oppression in Bangladesh, there was a turbulent atmosphere in this Shailkupa too, we have kept it calm. Therefore, I appeal to you all to hold this Shailkupa up as an example.”
Babu Prabir Kumar Saha Said in his speech, “We used to listen to Chandipath in the early morning on the day of Mahalaya when we were children, if you want, this arrangement will be arranged from next year. Puja is our Bengali culture, but it is not limited to this Bengal, our Bengalis have been organizing this Puja in New York for 24 years. I thank everyone for this arrangement that has brought us all together.”
The program was presided over by Shri Narayan Chandra Saha (Master), President of Kabirpur Public Durga Temple Committee.
