The leaders of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) have taken charge for the 2025-2027 term under the leadership of newly elected President Mahmud Hasan Khan.
Today, Monday (June 16, 2025), in a handover ceremony at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, outgoing BGMEA Administrator Md. Anwar Hossain officially handed over the responsibility of BGMEA to the newly elected Board President Mahmud Hasan Khan.
The first part of the ceremony was presided over by outgoing Administrator Md. Anwar Hossain and the second part was presided over by newly elected President Mahmud Hasan Khan. The meeting was attended by former BGMEA Presidents Khandaker Rafiqul Islam, Faruk Hasan, Dr. Rubana Haque, SM Fazlul Haque, Kazi Moniruzzaman, Anisur Rahman Sinha and other top local leaders and a large number of general members were present.
The members of the new board of directors are – 1st Vice President Selim Rahman, Senior Vice President Enamul Haque Khan (Bablu), Vice President Md. Rezwan Selim, Vice President (Finance) Mizanur Rahman, Vice President Bhidia Amrit Khan, Vice President Md. Shihab Uddoza Chowdhury and Vice President Md. Rafiq Chowdhury.
The other directors of the board of directors from Dhaka are – Shah Raeed Chowdhury, Md. Abdur Rahim, Faisal Samad, Md. Hasib Uddin, Mohammad Abdus Salam, Nafis-ud-Daula, Sumaiya Islam, Fahima Akhter, Majumder Arifur Rahman, Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Sheikh Hossain Mohammad Mostafiz, Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Joarder Mohammad Hosne Qamar Alam, A.B.M. Shamsuddin, Asef Kamal Pasha, Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini, Faruk Hasan, Rumana Rashid, Mohammad Sohel and Samiha Azim.
The directors of the board of directors from the Chittagong region are – M. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Syed Mohammad Tanvir, Sakif Ahmed Salam, Md. Saif Ullah Mansur, Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, Director SM Abu Tayyab and Director Rakibul Alam Chowdhury.
At the end of the meeting, on behalf of the Sammilit Parishad, President Kazi Moniruzzaman and Secretary Chaiti Group Managing Director Abul Kalam congratulated the new board of directors of BGMEA with flowers. On behalf of the Oikya Parishad, Romo Group Chairman Mohammad Mohsin (CIP) congratulated the new board with flowers.
