BGMEA-Taiwan Textile Meeting on Mutual Benefits in Apparel Sector

A delegation from the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), led by President Justin Huang, met with BGMEA Administrator Anwar Hossain on Saturday (9 November, 2024) at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka. The meeting explored opportunities for mutual trade benefits and collaboration between Bangladesh and Taiwan in the apparel and textile sectors.

Anwar Hossain said BGMEA is making every effort to facilitate sustainable growth in Bangladesh’s garment industry through the shift from cotton-based products to non-cotton items, particularly man-made fiber-based products.

He called on Taiwanese businesses to consider investments in non-cotton textiles, technical textiles, woven textiles, skill development, and innovation in Bangladesh
