BGMEA recently hosted a B2B matchmaking session at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka

A delegation of 30 representatives from 13 Chinese companies led by Zhang Xi’an, Vice Chairman of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles CCCPT engaged in B2B meetings with 53 Bangladeshi manufacturers. The Chinese companies are exploring potential collaborations in man-made fibers, green textile innovation, and home textiles.

The session aims to strengthen trade ties, boost investment, create employment opportunities, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

BGMEA Administrator Anwar Hossain welcomed the Chinese delegation and briefed them about Bangladesh RMG sector’s key strengths and priorities, including strong focus on non-cotton apparels.

The global market for MMF apparel is substantial and growing, with MMF products accounting for a significant portion of global apparel exports.

Bangladesh is working to increase their market share in this area.
