‘Beautiful Bangladesh Run Season-2’ concludes with a grand event in Hatirjheel

‘Beautiful Bangladesh Run 2026 (Season-2)’ was held in Hatirjheel in the capital with about 1,000 runners. Organized by the Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB), the run was successfully completed on Saturday (April 25, 2026) morning.

The event, which started at 6 am from Police Plaza Point, consisted of a 7.5-kilometer competitive run and a 2-kilometer fun run. The entire event became lively with the participation of people from different professions of the country, especially those related to the aviation and tourism sectors. More than 1,000 runners participated in it.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat was present as the chief guest at the event. He distributed prizes among the winners.

M Rashiduzzaman Millat, who was present at the event, said that this event of the Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB) is playing a role in increasing health awareness on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is also making an important contribution to the expansion of the tourism sector in Bangladesh. Such an initiative is truly commendable. Such an event has motivated me personally and I am interested in participating in it in the future as well.

The State Minister said that the government is working to attract foreign investment to build international standard tourism infrastructure in Bangladesh. We are talking to world-renowned companies like Emaar (Emaar Properties) of the United Arab Emirates. They built the Burj Khalifa. There is a plan to involve them in the development of tourism facilities in Bangladesh through public-private partnership (PPP).

The title sponsor of the event was Rhythm Group. Abir Hossain, Deputy Managing Director of the group, said, I am really impressed by the health-conscious participation of people of all ages, from young to old. Such an event is sending a positive message to our society. Next year we want to take this event to an international level. We will always be by your side in this initiative and provide necessary support.

Tanjim Anwar, President of Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum (ATJFB), said, such events are organized for various purposes in different parts of the world. On behalf of ATJFB, we have taken this initiative specifically to promote tourism in Bangladesh. This has become our flagship event. In the future, we want to spread this event beyond Dhaka. Next year, we are planning to organize such an event at Marine Drive in Cox’s Bazar. I hope to have you all by our side.

Sohag Hossain, Managing Director of Rhythm Group, Baten Biplob, General Secretary of ATJFB, and Shafiullah Sumon, Race Director of Beautiful Bangladesh Run, also spoke at the event.

Mohibur Rahman came first among the boys in the 2-kilometer run, Md. Animul Hasan came second, and F A Selim came third. Among the girls, Noor-e-Saba came first, Subhana Mahdia Siddiqui came second and Parveen Mitu came third.

In the 7.5 km run, Md. Elahi Sardar came first among the boys, Ashraful Alam came second and Palash Sheikh came third. Among the girls, Hamida Akhter Zeba came first, Sadia Shaolin Sigma came second and Teresa Kochi came third.

At the end of the run, the winners were given podiums and prizes of air tickets to various destinations and raffle draws.
