The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has relieved M Nazmul Islam from the post of Finance Committee Chairman. At the same time, the board reiterated that the interests of the cricketers are their top priority.
In a press release today (January 15, 2026), the BCB said, “After reviewing recent developments and considering the interests of the organization, the BCB President has decided to relieve Nazmul Islam from the post of Finance Committee Chairman.”
The BCB further said, “This decision has been taken under the powers vested in the BCB President under Article 31 of the BCB Constitution and this decision has been taken to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the Board’s activities.”
BCB President Aminul Islam will serve as the acting Chairman of the Finance Committee until further notice.
