BCB holds open discussion meeting titled ‘BPL Players’ Mic’ with participation of star cricketers

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) organized a historic open discussion meeting, ‘BPL Players’ Mic’, on July 14, 2025 (Monday) with emphasis on the opinions and participation of players on the future plans of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The discussion held at the BCB Bhaban was attended by experienced national team cricketers Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Anamul Haque Bijoy and Zakir Hasan. National team captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto joined the video call. They were accompanied by BCB President Md. Aminul Islam, BPL Governing Council Chairman Mahbubul Anam, BPL Secretary Nazmul Abedin and BCB directors and other senior officials.

The cricketers participating in the discussion shared their practical experiences and proposals on various important issues, including the current challenges of the BPL, lack of professionalism, the addition of foreign players, franchise management, and increasing the acceptance of the BPL at the international level.
