BCB and BTB Sign MoU to Promote Bangladesh as a Cricket Tourism Destination

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote Bangladesh as an emerging cricket tourism destination.

The signing ceremony was held at the BTB office in Dhaka. BCB President Md. Aminul Islam, Cricket Tourism Advisor to the BCB President’s Advisory Committee Md. Shakawath Hossain, BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, BTB Chief Executive Officer Nuzhat Yasmin, BTB Director (Admin & Finance) Abu Salim Mahmud-Ul Hasan, and BTB Director (Marketing, Planning & Public Relations) Saleha Binte Siraj were present at the event, along with senior officials from both organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, the participants highlighted that cricket is not just a sport in Bangladesh—it is part of the nation’s identity. Through this collaboration, the two organizations aim to transform cricket tourism into a vibrant economic sector by leveraging Bangladesh’s modern cricket venues, hospitality, and rich cultural heritage.

Under the MoU, BCB and BTB will work together to attract international visitors around cricket matches and tournaments, introduce specialized travel packages for cricket enthusiasts, and showcase Bangladesh’s positive image to the world.
