Bangladesh will continue to cooperate with the Russian Federation on mutual interests – Foreign Affairs Adviser.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh, Mr. Alexander Mantytskiy paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Foreign Affairs Adviser, Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain on 15 August 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka.

At the outset of the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain on his assumption of Office as the Hon’ble Foreign Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh, and expressed hope that Bangladesh-Russia bilateral cooperation will further enhance during his tenure. He also handed over a Congratulatory Message from Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation addressed to the Hon’ble Foreign Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh.

Recalling the support of the Russian Federation during our Liberation War, Hon’ble Foreign Affairs Adviser assured that Bangladesh would continue its cooperation with the Russian Federation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in establishing Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project, active collaboration in gas fields, trade among others.
