Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia discuss strengthening skills development cooperation

An important meeting on skills and employment development cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Executive Chairman (Secretary) of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Dr. Nazneen Kawsar Chowdhury met with Engineer Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Jarid, Chairman of the Saudi National Committee (SNC) for Workers.

In the meeting, both sides discussed in detail the coordination of skills certification between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, exchange of information related to the labor market, building institutional capacity, improving ethical recruitment processes and recognition of NSDA-certified workers by Saudi employers.

At the time, the Saudi National Committee expressed its interest in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSDA, which will further strengthen labor market cooperation between the two countries in the future.
