Bangladesh-Philippines Chambers Directors Salahuddin-Maksuda Couple held a Productive Meeting with Philippines Ambassador

Mr. Md. Salauddin Chowdhury, Director of Bangladesh-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a young industrial entrepreneur and business leader, and his wife Maksuda Chowdhury recently paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh, Nina P. Keinglet.

During the meeting at the embassy, ​​Ambassador Keinglet highly appreciated the couple’s contribution in developing mutual commercial and diplomatic relations between the two countries. She said that she had recently held a private and fruitful meeting with Nobel laureate and Honorable Chief Advisor of Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, which she expressed hope will further accelerate Bangladesh-Philippine relations.

During the meeting, discussions were held on several important topics, including the expansion of bilateral trade between Bangladesh and the Philippines, investment opportunities, the progress and prospects of the garment sector, and the development of the tourism industry. The Ambassador expressed his interest in working jointly to improve the business environment of both countries.

Earlier, Mr. Md. Salauddin Chowdhury and Maksuda Chowdhury were warmly welcomed by the Ambassador when they arrived at the Philippine Embassy. At the end of the visit, Mr. Salauddin Chowdhury wrote a greeting message in the Embassy’s Visitors’ Book.
