Bangladesh-Korea EPA Negotiation Launching Ceremony was held in order to start the negotiation of the Economic Partnership Agreement.

Bangladesh-Korea EPA Negotiation Launching Ceremony was held in the morning of Thursday (November 28, 2024) in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, with the aim of starting the negotiations for the execution of the Economic Partnership Agreement.

Bangladesh Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin and South Korea Trade Minister Inkyo Cheong formally announced the start of negotiations at the event.

Besides, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Trade and Investment Development Framework was signed between the two countries as a preliminary step towards the implementation of the EPA.

Commerce Secretary Mohang Salim Uddin and South Korea’s Vice Minister of Commerce Jongwon Park signed the MoU on behalf of their respective countries.
