It is worth noting that Bangladesh won the U-20 SAFF Championship title for the first time in 2024. The team made history by defeating Nepal 4-1 in the final.
Earlier, Bangladesh had shown a great performance in the U-19 tournament last season, where they lost to India in the final by 4-3 goals in a tiebreaker. This time, the red-green team avenged that defeat by defeating the same opponent by the same margin.
