The Bangladesh High Commission in London has announced that preparations are well underway for a major upcoming event—the highly anticipated SME Fair, scheduled to be held during Heritage Week at Tower Hamlets on 13–14 December 2025.
Earlier this afternoon, Bangladesh High Commissioner to London Abida Islam held a productive and wide-ranging meeting with UK Trade Envoy to Bangladesh Baroness Rosy Winterton and UK High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cook. The discussions covered multiple areas of mutual interest and cooperation, further strengthening the already vibrant partnership between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
The High Commission expressed great enthusiasm about the SME Fair, describing it as a unique platform designed to spotlight exceptional talent and innovation. The event will particularly highlight the creativity, enterprise, and achievements of women entrepreneurs from Bangladesh, as well as the ingenuity of British-Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs.
The Fair is expected to provide participating small and medium-sized enterprises with invaluable international exposure, new networking opportunities, and greater visibility across global markets. It also aims to celebrate the vital contributions these women-led businesses make to both the economy and cultural heritage.
The High Commission urged community members, business leaders, and supporters to mark the dates and attend the event to show strong support for these dynamic entrepreneurs.
Alongside the business-focused fair, Heritage Week is set to offer a vibrant cultural celebration that will further strengthen community bonds, promote cultural understanding, and enhance business and social ties between the UK and Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh High Commission looks forward to welcoming everyone to this landmark event celebrating entrepreneurship, culture, and collaboration.
