Awami League will not be spared if it wants to commit misdeeds – Home Affairs Advisor

Since the activities of the Awami League are prohibited, they will not be spared if they want to commit any misdeeds, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.).

The advisor made these comments while briefing journalists after visiting Mohammadpur Police Station in the capital on Saturday (August 02, 2025) morning.

The advisor said that there is no fear in the country surrounding August 5. He said that the law enforcement agencies are fully prepared and alert in this regard. Moreover, there is no fear in the way everyone concerned, including journalists, is helping and cooperating in this regard.

Regarding the allegations of Awami League continuing its activities secretly and conducting secret training, the advisor said that everyone will be brought under the law. Even if anyone from any force is involved, they will not be spared. At this time, he said that it is a matter of investigation. Action will be taken subject to investigation.

Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said, “The country is moving forward because the media is spreading the truth. I have always said that the tone of foreign media is gradually going down because our journalists are spreading the truth. But now they are not able to be as vocal as before.”
