Australian High Commissioner meets Chief Justice

A strong judiciary is essential to ensuring justice in Bangladesh—which plays a vital role in maintaining law and order, protecting individual rights and freedoms, and resolving disputes through accountability.

In this context, Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle met with the country’s Honorable Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed earlier this week. During the meeting, they discussed the progress and prospects for reforming Bangladesh’s judicial system.

Both sides acknowledged the significant contribution of Australia Awards alumni to the justice sector in Bangladesh and pledged to further strengthen cooperation in this area.
