As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and building climate resilience, the Australian High Commission in Bangladesh has highlighted its support for innovative agrifood solutions in the country’s coastal areas.

Deputy High Commissioner Clinton Pobke recently attended a workshop focused on advancing climate-resilient and sustainable agrifood systems in Bangladesh. During the event, Mr. Pobke reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to strengthening Bangladesh’s agricultural sector and contributing to broader efforts to address environmental degradation and climate change.

The workshop also showcased the work of Australian-funded projects supported by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). In collaboration with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), these projects are conducting research to integrate climate-resilient cropping systems and promote sustainable farming practices in salt-affected coastal areas of Bangladesh.
