Argentine Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Marcelo Carlos Sessa met with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in Bashundhara, the capital, on Tuesday (30 September 2025) morning for a courtesy call and breakfast meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador inquired about the health of the Jamaat Ameer and wished him a full recovery. Later, in this discussion held in a very sincere and cordial atmosphere, a detailed exchange of views was held on the overall situation prevailing in Bangladesh, Bangladesh-Argentina bilateral relations, investment and various issues of international interest.
Ambassador Mr. Marcelo Carlos Sessa assured Argentina’s strong support to Bangladesh in the discussion and expressed hope that Argentine investment in Bangladesh will increase further in the future.
Present on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami were Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Assistant Secretary General of the organization and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, and Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Ameer-e-Jamaat.
