The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) and the US Embassy jointly organized a colorful event at the Sheraton Hotel in Dhaka to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence.

The event, held on Saturday (July 4, 2026), celebrated the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. The event paid tribute to the United States’ long tradition of freedom, democracy, and innovation. It also reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen the strong partnership, economic cooperation, and people-to-people ties between Bangladesh and the United States.




AmCham President Syed Mohammad Kamal, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen, AmCham Executive Committee members, senior government officials, diplomats from various countries, top businessmen, and AmCham members were present at the event.


The speakers said that trade, investment and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States is continuously expanding. They also expressed hope that the mutual trust, business partnership and people-to-people relations between the two countries will be further strengthened in the future.
The participation of guests from different levels in the event was mentioned as a reflection of the depth and multidimensional cooperation of Bangladesh-US relations.
