Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Dhaka Dr. Abdullah Jafar H. Bin Abia paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
During the meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (July 6, 2026), the Saudi Ambassador formally handed over a letter sent by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to the Prime Minister.
Various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia were discussed during the meeting. The meeting also exchanged views on further strengthening the existing friendly relations between the two countries and expanding bilateral cooperation.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Ambassador to Dhaka Ibrahim Abdullah were present at the time.
