All political parties have agreed on amending the constitution to change the presidential election process, said Ali Riaz, vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission. However, he also said that a consensus has not yet been reached on the new election process.
Ali Riaz made these remarks at the closing briefing after the second phase of discussions of the Consensus Commission organized at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (June 19).
Justice Emdadul Haque, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Safar Raj Hossain, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Dr. Ayub Mia and Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Monir Haider were present as members of the commission at the time.
