Algerian Ambassador Visits AIUB to Strengthen Algeria-Bangladesh Education Relations

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Algeria to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdelwahab Saidani, concluded an important visit to the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Thursday (July 24). The visit opened new horizons for bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education and research between Bangladesh and Algeria.

Ambassador Dr. Saidani paid a courtesy call on the top leadership of AIUB. Present at the event were Founding Board of Trustees Member and Chairman of the Board, Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founding Board of Trustees Member, Mr. Ishtiaq Abedin, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, and Board of Trustees Member, Ms. Shania Mahia Abedin.

Also present at the event were Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Registrar Group Captain (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, and Proctor Professor Dr. Manzoor H. Khan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. AKM Sayedad Hossain, an official from the Algerian Embassy in Dhaka.

During the meeting, both sides held fruitful discussions on various aspects of higher education and research. They expressed interest in conducting joint research, student-teacher exchange, and cultural exchange programs between AIUB and Algerian educational institutions.
