Airbus expresses interest in increasing investment and cooperation in the aviation sector in Bangladesh

Airbus Vice President Mr. Edward Delahaye paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroza Khanam, MP, at the Ministry Conference Room of the Secretariat on Tuesday (5 May, 2026) at 11 am.

Honorable State Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, Secretary of the Ministry Fahmida Akhtar, ndc and Managing Director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Kaiser Sohel Ahmed were present during the meeting.

Views were exchanged on various aspects of increasing cooperation in the aviation sector during the discussion. During this, Airbus expressed its interest in forming a mixed fleet in the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier of Bangladesh.

Both sides had positive discussions on the possibility of expanding mutual cooperation and modernization in the aviation sector in the future.
