Aarong Unveils the World’s Largest Craft Store in Dhanmondi

One of Bangladesh’s leading lifestyle brands, Aarong, on Friday (March 7, 2025) inaugurated the world’s largest craft store in Dhanmondi. Spread across 60,000 sq ft and spanning eight floors, the flagship store pays homage to the country’s rich heritage, craftsmanship and innovation.

This huge step forward from Aarong’s humble beginnings in Shukrabad, Dhanmondi, is not just an expansion, but a celebration of Bangladesh’s art and culture. The new store has created an experience for customers where tradition and modern luxury come together.

The vibrant culture of Bangladesh is highlighted through artistic installations, handcrafted fashion items and a unique ambience. Aarong’s new destination store is not just a place to shop; it is a unique experience that blends art and tradition with modernity.

Pottery Wall: A unique collection of clay artefacts that combine traditional pottery with modern design.

Alchemy: Hanging artefacts made of copper and recycled glass, which create a unique play of light and shadow.

Every corner of this outlet is beautifully decorated, featuring a unique collection of handmade textiles and aesthetic handicrafts; especially for children, there is a magical forest-themed playground.

The seventh floor of this store houses the Orange Parrot restaurant, which serves delicious Bangladeshi fusion cuisine. Customers can enjoy their meals here while enjoying the picturesque view of Dhanmondi.

Tamara Abed, Managing Director of BRAC Enterprises, said, “Each of our products tells a story, which is a connection between the customer and the artisans. This store is a reflection of Aarong’s commitment to moving forward on the global stage.’

Aarong is one of the largest social enterprises in Bangladesh, run by BRAC. Since its establishment in 1978, Aarong has become a pioneer in the lifestyle sector in Bangladesh by empowering local artisans, preserving traditions and creating new trends.
