A contingent of 71 members of the Bangladesh Navy departed for South Sudan to maintain world peace

Today, Monday (22 December 2025), a contingent of 71 members of the Bangladesh Navy departed from Dhaka for South Sudan to participate in maintaining world peace. The Force Marine Unit of the Bangladesh Navy has been performing multifaceted important duties in the remote areas of South Sudan with dedication and efficiency to establish world peace, including transporting humanitarian aid, ensuring waterway security, preventing piracy, rescue and firefighting.

The glorious participation of the Bangladesh Navy in UN peacekeeping operations for more than three decades has further strengthened the image and reputation of Bangladesh in the international arena.
