Chatgaiya Food Festival began at InterContinental Dhaka

InterContinental Dhaka, in partnership with BRAC Bank PLC, is delighted to present the “Chatgaiya Food Festival” – a captivating celebration of the rich flavours and cultural heritage of Chattogram.

A press meet for the festival was held on Wednesday (13 August 2025) at InterContinental Dhaka, attended by David O’Hanlon (General Manager, InterContinental Dhaka), Olivier Loreaux (Director of Food & Beverage, InterContinental Dhaka), Rezwan Maruf (Director of Sales & Marketing, InterContinental Dhaka), Saadman Salahuddin (Director of Marketing, InterContinental Dhaka), Md. Ashraful Alam (Head of Alliances, BRAC Bank PLC), and Byjed Al Hassan (Managing Director & CEO, Probashir Helicopter), along with partners, media representatives, and members of the hotel team.

Chatgaiya food is famous for being rich, aromatic, spicy and deeply flavourful, with influences from Arabian, Persian, Mughal, and coastal traditions.From 14 to 23 August 2025, guests can indulge in authentic Chatgaiya cuisine at Elements, featuring culinary delights such as Akhni Biryani, Beef Kalabhuna, Beef with ChanarDaal, Mezbaani Beef, Paya, Rupchada Fry, Loitta Fry, Golda Chingri Masala, Durus Kura, Nona Elish with Lau Shaak, Khaissha, Shutki, and a variety of bhortas. Sweet offerings include traditional pithas, shemai, halwa, payesh, and other beloved local desserts.

Evenings will come alive with live cultural performances by local artists, while attendees will have the chance to win a Helicopter Joyride courtesy of Probashir Helicopter, through an exciting raffle draw.
