The advisor made this statement after a meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday (August 06, 2025) afternoon to take decisions on formulating various action plans for the law and order forces to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.

The advisor said that in the address given by the Chief Advisor to the nation yesterday, he said that preparations for the elections have begun. We discussed it today in continuation of that. He said that the logistical support that will be required during the elections was discussed in this meeting.

Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said, DC, SP, UNO and OC play an important role in any national parliament election. The advisor said, during the election, it is seen that candidates want to appoint their preferred DC, SP or OC in their constituencies. Now, regardless of where the officials are, they will be transferred through lottery before the election.
