Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Pays Courtesy Call on Malaysian Secretary General of Foreign Affairs

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, received a courtesy call from H.E. Asad Alam Siam, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the warm and longstanding ties between Malaysia and Bangladesh and exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international collaboration.

They also discussed preparations for the upcoming official visit of the Chief Adviser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Malaysia.

The discussions touched on a wide range of important issues, including counter-terrorism efforts, cooperation in the LNG sector, regional security, engagement with ASEAN, and the Rohingya crisis.
