The college’s Acting Commandant Rear Admiral AKM Zakir Hossain, more than 100 officers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces and representatives of foreign armies were present at the speech.

Ambassador Yao Wen said that the year 2025 is an important milestone as it marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He stressed that China is committed to establishing a security concept that is based on the four fundamental principles of universality, comprehensiveness, cooperation and sustainability.

He clearly stated, “The concepts of hegemony, expansion or sphere of influence are not in China’s dictionary.” China is working with the international community, especially Bangladesh, to build a just and orderly multi-polar world and a win-win and inclusive globalization.

The ambassador also said that China-Bangladesh relations have always been friendly and based on trust. He expressed his desire to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all levels of Bangladesh, especially the military, so that Bangladesh can reach greater heights of development.

At the end of the speech, Ambassador Yao Wen participated in a friendly discussion with the audience. The discussion covered the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the so-called Indo-Pacific Strategy, the BRICS alliance, and the Rohingya crisis.
