Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC organized a view-exchange meeting with foreign correspondent banks’ representatives in the Bangladesh office on 17 September 2024, Tuesday at a hotel in Dhaka.
Md. Obayed Ullah Al Masud, Chairman of the bank, addressed the program as the chief guest, according to a media release.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director of the bank, presided over the program while Md. Abdul Jalil, Chairman, Executive Committee, Professor Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Chairman, Risk Management Committee & Mohammad Khurshid Wahab, Independent Director addressed the program as special guests.
Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Additional Managing Director, Md. Rafiqul Islam, head of International Trade Wing and Mohammad Masud, head of International Services Wing of the bank were present at the program.
Senior executives of Islami Bank and foreign correspondent banks’ representatives in Bangladesh office participated in the program.
Md. Obayed Ullah Al Masud says in his speech as the chief guest, “Islami Bank is the bank of every individual’s heart in the country. Expatriates consider this bank as their own bank. They feel comfortable sending foreign remittances to their families through this bank. This bank, trusted by expatriates, has already started running at its own speed.”
He said we are working to deliver the hard-earned money of expatriates to their families with the highest priority. In this regard, the reputation of Islami Bank is well-known.
He also said that the relationship of remittance houses and foreign banks with Islami Bank will be strengthened and it will be possible to improve the foreign trade and expatriate services through mutual cooperation.
He urged the representatives of banks and exchange houses to work with Islami Bank for the economic development of the country, the release adds.
