FICCI held a meeting with the Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser

FICCI Board of Directors, led by President Mr. Zaved Akhtar, held a constructive meeting with the newly appointed Adviser to the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan. The discussion focused on key industry challenges and potential areas for collaboration.

During the meeting, FICCI members addressed critical concerns, including regulatory hurdles and transparency issues in the bidding process. Adviser acknowledged these concerns and committed to reforms aimed at enhancing transparency and resolving foreign investors’ challenges. He also emphasized the need for stronger public-private partnerships and open dialogue with FICCI to ensure sustainable growth in the power and energy sectors.

As a gesture of support, FICCI President presented the chamber’s latest publications to the adviser, highlighting FICCI’s ongoing commitment to advocacy and the development of Bangladesh’s energy sector.

Senior Vice President Mr. Eric M. Walker, Advisor Mr. Shehzad Munim, Board Members Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Chowdhury, Mr. Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, Executive Director Mr. Nurul Kabir, CEO and senior officials from FICCI member companies and high officials from the ministry were present at the meeting.
