Masrur Arefin, managing director and chief executive officer of City Bank PLC, has been elected as the new chairman of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB), an organization of the country’s top bankers. In addition, Mohammad Ali, managing director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, has been elected as the organization’s vice chairman.
They were elected at a meeting of ABB’s Board of Governors recently. They will serve in this role on an interim basis until the next annual general meeting.
