On Friday (30 May 2025), a public hearing was organized in a joyful atmosphere at the Bangladesh Embassy, Manama, in the hall room of the embassy under the chairmanship of His Excellency Md. Rais Hasan Sarwar, NDC, the Honorable Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain. In addition to ordinary expatriates, businessmen, journalists and leaders of various organizations of the Bangladeshi community, officials and employees of the embassy were present at the event. The embassy organized a free medical camp for the expatriate Bangladeshis who came to the public hearing.
In his speech, His Excellency Md. Rais Hasan Sarwar, NDC sincerely thanked everyone present at the public hearing. He said that through the public hearing, the embassy will be able to be directly informed about the problems of expatriate workers. The constructive suggestions of the expatriates to increase transparency and accountability in the work of the embassy will further accelerate the quality of the embassy’s services. In addition, he asked to contact the embassy officers directly in case of any problem. The Honorable Ambassador requested everyone to abide by the laws and regulations of Bahrain and stay in this country legally. He requested everyone to ensure that no one tarnishes the image of Bangladesh abroad and to send remittances through legal channels.
All expatriates were invited to attend this public hearing through a notice on the verified Facebook page of the embassy. More than a hundred expatriates engaged in various professions in Bahrain spontaneously joined this event. At the event, the expatriates directly raised their various problems with the ambassador of the embassy. On behalf of the embassy, the Honorable Ambassador provided immediate solutions to their various problems and queries. The Embassy will organize a public hearing on the last Friday of every month for all expatriates living in Bahrain.
