The biennial elections for the 2025-27 term of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the apex organization of ready-made garment industry owners, were held today, Saturday (May 31, 2025) at two designated centers in Dhaka and Chittagong.
Voting is underway at the Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. Here, 1,561 voters will elect their preferred representatives for the 2025-27 term. On the other hand, 303 voters are exercising their voting rights in the Chittagong center.
This time, elections are being held for 35 posts of the BGMEA Board of Directors. Where two panels called Forum and Sammilit Parishad are being contested.
