Desk Report:
Due to an overwhelming response from buyers and sellers and heightened interest in the car market, the duration of the ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’—held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital—has been extended by one hour. From now on, this event will run until 8 PM every Friday.
This special car trading market takes place at ICCB every Friday. Following a positive response over four consecutive weeks, the ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ was held for the fifth week yesterday. A new addition to the fair this time includes brand-new cars imported by ‘Asian Imports.’ Alongside new vehicles, buyer interest has also been growing in reconditioned and used cars.
Launched through a joint initiative by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, the market previously operated from 10 AM to 7 PM on Fridays. Organizers stated that the event is gaining popularity among buyers and sellers because it offers the opportunity to view and trade new, reconditioned, and used cars all in one location. In response to the enthusiastic feedback, the market hours have been extended by an hour to 8 PM.
Upon entering the ‘Super Sale Car Bazar,’ one sees rows of cars across various models and brands. New cars are displayed in one section, reconditioned cars in another, and used cars in a separate area. Many of these used vehicles were previously owned for personal use; owners brought them to the market with plans to sell their old cars and purchase new ones.
Starting with just 127 vehicles, the number of cars at the market has risen to approximately 360 by the fifth week, giving buyers the opportunity to view a wide variety of vehicles in a single location.
A visit to the market yesterday revealed a mix of activities: some visitors were inquiring about new cars, while others were carefully inspecting various aspects of used cars before making a purchase. Many buyers were seen comparing models, prices, features, and amenities across multiple vehicles before finalizing their choice. The current event features vehicles ranging in price from 6.5 lakh taka to approximately 3.5 crore taka. Sellers are also offering various deals to attract buyers.
Officials from Asian Imports stated that new electric vehicles (EVs) have been introduced at the fair this time to cater to buyer preferences and demands. Alongside both Japanese and Chinese EVs, reconditioned cars are also available.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, Brand and Marketing Manager at ICCB, noted that the ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ is currently in its fifth week following four weeks of successful events. The fair has already received a positive response from both buyers and sellers; over 350 cars arrived at the venue yesterday. Due to higher buyer-seller turnout and interest compared to the previous four weeks, the fair’s operating hours have been extended by one hour, now running until 8 PM.
By offering the opportunity to view and directly trade new, reconditioned, and used cars under one roof, the ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ is steadily expanding into a major platform for automotive transactions.
