Those involved in the casualties at the Tongi Ijtema ground won’t be spared: Home Advisor

Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) said that those involved in the casualties caused by the control of the Tongi Bishwa Ijtema ground must be brought under the law. There is no room for leniency in this. There is no room for leniency for the murderers under any circumstances. Those who are truly guilty will be brought under the law.

The advisor said these things while briefing journalists after a special discussion meeting with two groups of Tabligh Jamaat (Jobayer and Saad) at the conference room of the Home Ministry at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital on Wednesday (December 18, 2024) afternoon to organize the upcoming Bishwa Ijtema in Tongi smoothly.

The advisor said that no one is above the law. The wrongdoer will not be given any leniency. They will be brought under the law after a proper investigation.
