President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that he will work completely non-partisanly in performing state duties and for the welfare of the state. After assuming office as President, he will have no anger or affection for anyone; the interests of the country, state and people will be his only goal.
He said these things at the President’s first darbar organized with officials and employees at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 11:30 am on Thursday (August 27, 2026).

The President said, “Before assuming the office of President, I resigned from the party, parliament and the cabinet. I am now a completely non-partisan person. I will continue to discharge my duties non-partisanly.”
He said that it is very important to earn the trust of the people from the highest position of the state, perform duties with honesty, integrity, sincerity and responsibility. He also emphasized on maintaining the trust and faith of the people in any situation.
Addressing the officers and employees of Bangabhaban, the President said that there should be love, respect and loyalty towards the country and its people. At the same time, everyone should perform their respective duties with dedication, sincerity and honesty.
Highlighting the history and heritage of Bangabhaban, the President said that Bangabhaban is not just a government building; it is a symbol of state dignity and sovereignty. Therefore, everyone should play a responsible role to keep its dignity and heritage intact.
He called upon the officers and employees of Bangabhaban to maintain the highest professionalism, honesty and devotion in performing their state duties.
